Relationships
Main Description

This task is optional depending on the agreed scope and approach in Focus And direction. This task can result in two deliverables: a As-Is CRUD Matrix or a As-Is Transaction Model, depending on what fits the best for the engagement and/or what is available. An As-Is CRUD Matrix is a cross reference of Processes and Information for the current situation. The level of detail depends whether the cross reference is needed for diagnostic reasons (finding root causes for business problems) or migration reasons (know where you come from so you can determine the route to the To-Be situation). An As-Is Transaction Model is a set of transaction diagrams that describe for the current situation how a business transaction is processed through a number of business processes. If in the Focus And Direction the use of a reference model is agreed upon it can be helpful to use the Information Model of the reference model.

Requirements regarding the As-Is Information Usage are elicited and documented only if they are not yet documented in the existing Business Requirements Catalogue.
